Who We Are --

We are a group of individuals and organizations which have formed a partnership committed to preventing underage drinking, tobacco use, and drug use in Midland County.

Community Awareness

  • Day of Prayer - Breakfast and Outreach Events (105)

  • Distribution of 7,000 Underage Alcohol Prevention Brochures and Youth Contracts to Midland County Parents

  • Family Week Event at Midland Community Center
  • Loons Community Organization Day for CAP 21 and START
  • Midland County Youth Survey and Community Report
  • Prescription and Over-the-Counter Drug Awareness Program
  • Safe Homes Program and Parent Contract
  • Tobacco Compliance Checks & Retailer Education in conjunction with local law enforcement and the State of Michigan tobacco and alcohol retailer education trainings were performed at 53 sites.

Prevention Education

MAPFDFY provides prevention education to over 2,500 youth in Midland County. We assesses youth perception, attitudinal, and knowledge changes through pre/post-test evaluations at the completion of all direct-service programs through.
